The story flows downhill
Chapter one
The short version

River Chiropractic was built to make chiropractic care feel clearer, more thoughtful and more intentional, from your first assessment to every decision that follows.

River Chiropractic is an independent chiropractic clinic at Unit 203, 2446 Bank Street in south Ottawa, led by Dr. Charles Farah, DC, Doctor of Chiropractic and a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. Each new patient assessment begins with a health history and examination. When clinically appropriate, objective measures are selected to help establish a baseline. Findings and care options are then explained in plain language before a plan is recommended.

The clinic is in the Bank Street and Hunt Club area, near South Keys, Greenboro, Upper Hunt Club and Blossom Park. These neighbourhoods are part of the south Ottawa community River Chiropractic was built to serve.

The goal is simple: help patients understand what was assessed, what was found, what options are available and when progress should be reviewed.

The River name reflects that same idea. Care should have a direction, clear review points and a shared understanding of where you are in the process.

How we think

The River Chiropractic approach

Three principles guide how our south Ottawa chiropractic clinic assesses concerns, explains findings and reviews care. Each one builds on the last.

Chapter 01

We measure.

Pain is personal, and progress should be evaluated with more than one measure. Before care is recommended, Dr. Farah considers your history and examination findings. When relevant, measures may include range of motion, strength, grip or pressure sensitivity.

Chapter 02

We explain.

After your assessment, Dr. Farah explains the relevant findings in plain language, answers questions and discusses reasonable options, including when chiropractic care may not be appropriate. Informed consent is an ongoing conversation, not just paperwork.

Your numbers, in your language
Report of findings: shown, not summarized away
Chapter 03

We build.

When chiropractic care is appropriate, a plan may be organized into phases with goals and review points. Reassessments help determine whether care should continue, change, conclude or involve referral to another provider.

Meet the people behind River Chiropractic

One role provides chiropractic care. The other supports the systems around it. Clear responsibilities help keep clinical decisions between you and your chiropractor.

Operations & administration: nonclinical

River Chiropractic's operations lead manages the nonclinical systems around care, including booking, billing, insurance administration, facilities and paperwork.

The operations role does not treat patients or make clinical decisions. That line is deliberate: decisions about your care remain between you and your chiropractor.

What patients can expect at our Ottawa chiropractic clinic

Six commitments explain how River Chiropractic approaches transparent, responsible chiropractic care in Ottawa. Tap any line for the details.

Dr. Charles Farah, DC is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. You don't have to take this page's word for it. The CCO maintains a public register where anyone can confirm a member's registration and standing, and his certificate of registration is displayed in the clinic.
Our full fee schedule is posted visibly in the clinic and confirmed with you before any care plan begins. Every visit produces an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurer.
River Chiropractic chooses not to publish patient testimonials on this site. CCO communication standards allow website testimonials only when specific requirements are met, but an individual experience still cannot predict another person's outcome. We would rather explain our process, responsibilities and review points clearly.
Personal health information at River Chiropractic is handled under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). As a patient, you have rights to request access to your record and ask for corrections, subject to the requirements and exceptions in the law.
Care and communication are available in English and French, including the consultation, explanation of findings and paperwork. This supports patients from Ottawa and nearby National Capital Region communities.
River Chiropractic does not promise cures or guaranteed outcomes. Recommendations consider your history, examination findings, preferences and relevant evidence. If a concern falls outside chiropractic scope or needs another perspective, Dr. Farah will discuss referral to an appropriate regulated health professional.

One chiropractor. One clinic. A plan with clear review points.

That's the River Chiropractic approach.

Your first chiropractic visit begins with a health history and assessment. Relevant findings are explained, options are discussed, and then you decide whether to proceed.
